Mostly forgettable movie quote (15): “But Mommy, I don’t want to go to school today. I want to stay home and bake cookies with you.” (Daffy Duck in Space Jam)

I’ve heard this from the kids more than once to express their lack of desire to attend school (though they know I won’t be home baking cookies.)

(And I posted to reassure everyone that I’m still in the game, just not every day—well, except today! Old habits…)

Mostly forgettable movie quote 14: “I wouldn’t go in there if I were you. Grandpa Fred was in there for a half an hour. It’s totally polluted.” (Sixteen Candles)

Such a useful quote when needing to warn others not to use the bathroom. Can be shortened to “Grandpa Fred” and be completely understood in my house.

There’s a little Grandpa Fred in all of us! Click here to watch the whole scene!

Mostly forgettable movie quote 13: “Yeah, I got a question. Does Barry Manilow know you raid his wardrobe?” (The Breakfast Club)

Bender said this to the principal and got the memorable “Don’t mess with the bull. . . you’ll get the horns” response, but this Barry Manilow line is useful.

This is in no way meant to disrespect Barry. Love him! Used to jam to this album in the basement with my sis.

Had this one too. “Copacabana” was on this. Need I say more?

Mostly forgettable movie quote 10: “Ah, anything in this general area right in here. Anything below the stereo and on this side of the Bicentennial glasses. Anything between the ashtrays and the thimbles. Anything in this three inches. Right in here, this area, that includes the Chiclets but not the erasers.” (The Jerk)

Navin (Steve Martin) was explaining potential carnival prizes. Often misquoted as “between the chiclets and the erasers,” this can be used when describing where things are located.

Mostly forgettable movie quote 8: “the mutants over at Table 9” (The Wedding Singer)

Use this quote from “Robbie Hart” (Adam Sandler) at any event where  you’re seated at Table 9 or any table that gets called last to the buffet.

Ah, there they are!

Reference to Table 9 begins at about 00:58.

Gotta love urban dictionary! It even gives a new idea of how to use the expression! If you don’t know what “fugly” means, you can find it at urban dictionary too.
